My heart is a kite
held by a string
in the middle of a storm.
O Allah,
I'm not asking You
for a calmer storm.
Rather, I am asking You
for a thicker string.
O Allah,
I'm not asking You
to end this storm soon.
Rather, I am asking You
to make me stronger
so that I may hang on longer
and see the rainbow
after the storm ends.
My Heart is a Kite

nice. love it :)
When a heart is moved
And feeling is soothed
I pray for a sign
That this man can be mine
But no,
it will never happen
for I am girl that's completely hidden
by the crowds of much more beautiful women.
And this thought,
will remain a dream,
a hope, a fable, a lifelong fantasy,
that will be recorded as legend or history,
on the crisp pages of my black diary. :)
p/s : i meant it. when i asked you the question.

Allah always by our side . may Allah always shows us the way to HIM

Assalamulaikum bro.
Glad to see the young blood talks about Islam while many of the old gens think that just because they learn & teach English, they have to live that 'English' culture (while the westerners themselves are turning to Islam)...
Hope you don't mind this old man linking yours to my blog.Keep on doing what you doing, may Allah reward you & your parents the best in the hereafter. Stay cool :)

poetry is a beauty and a good way for dakwah..
less heart feeling more nearer to the heart..
when i read this,it's a reflection of my current situation..the parts that impacts me the most is your last stanza
"O Allah,
I'm not asking You
to end this storm soon
Rather, I am asking You
to make me stronger
so that I may hang on longer
and see the rainbow
after the storm ends"..my interpretation of this poem might not be the same as yours but i believe poems interpretation is wide and it can suits the situation of the readers..this poem makes me feels much more relief with the prob i am facing...syukur pada Allah yg membuka mata saya untuk membaca ur poem&fresh me up at once..thank';s to you too aiman azlan..
I wish to encounter more beautiful Islamic poems like yours. Especially when it relates to every each one of us.
